Headteacher’s Welcome

I would like to welcome you to Eastcote Primary Academy, a one-form entry school, which prides itself on its community atmosphere. We are very fortunate to have a building that provides us with a wonderful learning and working environment for children and staff alike.

All the staff at Eastcote are committed to ensuring that the school keeps its friendly, caring atmosphere whilst ensuring that children develop a broad range of life skills. We want all the children to become confident, independent learners who show respect for one another and can talk articulately about their feelings and ideas.

We teach a thematic curriculum which aims to be responsive to children’s interests and backgrounds but which is also knowledge rich.  We constantly seek ways to enrich the curriculum, for example through visits, school journey and history days.  In addition to developing the basic skills of literacy and numeracy, children also learn scientific, technological, creative and thinking skills to help them prepare for life in the wider world.

We participate in a wide variety of sporting activities through inter-school competitions, our house system and lunchtime and after school clubs.

We are always keen to extend our range of partnerships with parents and community groups to ensure that children at Eastcote enjoy exciting opportunities and have an enriched learning experience.

Eastcote is part of Leigh Academies Trust, a Multi-Academy trust which includes schools in central Kent, North-West Kent and South-East London.  The Trust has a strong record of helping academies improve and we work closely with our colleagues in the other Primaries in the Trust and with our Secondary colleagues at Stationers Crown Woods Academy.

I hope you will find this website interesting and informative and that it gives you an insight into Eastcote Primary Academy.

Mr D Ball
